History

AMR Refractarios S.A.u. is the name of Aristegui Material Refractarios S.A. since 1989. Two Japanese companies, Krosaki Harima Corporation and Mitsui Co. Ltd., bought the 100% of the capital to the former owner, the Aristegui family.

The founding of AMR took place in 1906 and until today, it has been one of the mayor national producers of refractory materials. Producing high-quality materials, it has contributed to develop the steel and cement industries in Spain.

Nowadays, AMR is part of Krosaki Harima Corporation, as in 2004 it bought the part of AMR shares belonging to Mitsui Co. Ltd.

Therefore, technicians and engineers from Krosaki work at AMR together with the AMR staff in order to obtain refractory materials of the best quality, by means of continuous innovation and constant development of techniques, processes and materials.

AMR Refractarios S.A.u., with the technical collaboration of Krosaki-Harima, supplies high-quality refractory materials to steel, cement, copper and iron-alloys industries.
